Converting Your International Driver Licence to NSW

If you have an International Driving Permit (IDP) or a foreign driver licence, you can drive in NSW for a limited time, but you'll need to convert it to an NSW licence if you plan to stay longer.

• You need to have held your overseas licence for at least 1 year
